Rizal Day celebration at National City, 12/30/11

A floral offering at 10:30 a.m. in front of Seafood City kicks off the 115th anniversary of the martyrdom of the National Hero of the Philippines, under the auspices of the Council of Philippine American Organizations of San Diego County (COPAO). This will be immediately followed by a short program and refreshments at the COPAO Center.

FilAm Fest 2010
As this is taking place in San Diego, it’s a little far from the regions we usually cover, but this sounds pretty big, so I couldn’t resist posting this.
Featuring musical guests such as Gabe Bondoc, DJ’s, and dance companies like Samahan Co. Also food, arts and crafts, and other kinds of street fun.
