The bay area is an amazing place in terms of API communities. Maybe because of the region’s history, Asian American communities have been around for a long time here, and they’ve had a long time to become established and form organizations. Combine that with a constantly replenished supply of newer immigrants, and you get a place where staying connected to one’s roots is very important to a lot of people.
There’s always something going on–a street festival, a film fest, a special exhibit, you name it. You never have to be bored here if you don’t want to. Plus public transportation is awesome!
